On friday 13th February 2015, members of the UNCDA held a General Assembly. The agenda was election of a new Board of Directors, confirmation and adaption of the by laws that had been reviewed by the previous General Assembly. According to the District Health Officer, Ms. Margaret Walikira, Amuria has a total population of over 40,000 people with 40 health facilities. She mentioned that there is an urgent need for a district hospital since there was a notable increase in the number of NCD related cases in the district.
